True story

So we're giving away a ton of books.  I've only managed to get through a few shelves in our massive living room book wall and have already culled out about 200 books to set free.  Since we were hosting date night on Saturday, Mark set all the books on our dining room table and we invited our friends to have the first pass at them.  When A came by, she set upon the books in earnest, plucking out titles and ohhing and ahhing in a way that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  There was only one she picked up and told us how horrible she thought it was, how it should be used as toilet paper, how you either love this book or hate it and she was firmly in the hate it camp.

I love her passion.

Later that night when her husband came to pick up the kids, he decided to take a look at the books as well.  He didn't have a lot of time, but he thumbed through the boxes, scanning titles while his big kid thought about melting down.

Guess which one and only book he selected to bring home?

I hereby declare that they made my weekend.

PS I just now, a day later, realized I'd transposed some letters in the title. I am so smart! S-M-R-T!
